A Day in the Life

Today's topic : A day in the life. Take us through it with you.

Happy Monday sweet friends!

It seems as if it has been ages since I have actually sat down and really focused in on the blog prompt for the day.  You know when sometimes it seems as if life picks up in the "busy" department and you are left attempting to tackle your to do list that grows twice as fast as what you are able to accomplish?  Well, that's sort of how it's been.  But busy in a good way, of course!

Onto today's blog prompt.  A day in my life.  Most days as a whole are somewhat similar.  However I am blessed with a job that is fairly different everyday.  Working in healthcare you never know what to expect from day to day and that keeps it exciting.

My morning usually begins about 7 am.  (After I push snooze for about an hour...oops!)

I try to begin each day with a devotional.  I notice a big difference in my day when I make time for a devotional and just how much it enriches the rest of my day.

At my job, we do not have to be there by a specific time as long as we see our patients for the day at a decent hour.  I am always there by 8:00 at the absolute latest.

Depending on the day, I work until anywhere from 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm.  As I just mentioned, the work days are full of surprises.  I absolutely love what I do in physical therapy and trying my best to be a source of encouragement for my patients, as they encourage me to be a more grateful person and dedicated therapist.

I then make my 20 minute drive home down country roads with my radio blasting a wide range of tunes.  This is what I consider to be my unwind time.  I love driving and find it to be very therapeutic especially when there's some music to sing along with.

Upon arriving home, my coffee immediately gets to brewing.  Because I love my sugar + creamer with some coffee. ;)

My pug, Myah, greets me as if she has not seen me in five years time.  This is a daily occurrence whether I was gone for 20 minutes or a month.  It is quite cute to say the least.

The rest of the afternoon holds anything from meeting up with friends, running errands, catching up with my favorite YouTubers videos, working out, blogging, and recently - apartment furnishing shopping.

My night typically ends about 10:30 in which I continue with blogging - side note, I am absolutely loving this blogtember challenge.  It has really inspired me to continue with writing about life and the adventures it brings.

Finally the lights are out by 11:30.  :)

  1. I used to have a daily devotional delivered to my inbox and I was in the habit of reading it first thing before I even got out of bed in the morning. Then it stopped arriving as I was getting up and the habit was broken. It's something I should really consider doing again though, my quiet time is usually the very last thing I do at night but it would be nice to make it the first AND last!

    1. I agree Donna :) Making that the first and last part of the day is the ultimate goal. Once we make it a habit, it becomes so much more natural to do and becomes another part of the daily routine.
