Introduce Yourself // D a y O n e

I am so excited to begin the second annual blogtember challenge.  I discovered this challenge thanks to Bailey Robert of braveloveblog.  I have been following her Instagram page for quite some time now.  She is a wonderful writer with a variety of creative content.  Also, her illustrated faith is simply amazing.

Today’s topic : Introduce yourself however you like!  Pics, vlog, collage, your choice :)

This is such a great way for bloggers to get to know each other, to connect through our words, ideas, beliefs.  I took a peek at the first annual blogtember challenge and I must say, I loved the first content prompt and felt it fit very nicely with today’s introduction – “Imagine the front sleeve of a hard cover novel.  Give us your ‘About the Author’ so we can get to know one another, and for fun tell us what your imaginary novel would be about.”

Being an author has been a bucket list item of mine that I would love to check off the list someday!  I grew up loving to read ever since I was a little girl: Boxcar Children, the Harry Potter series, Junie B Jones, and Dr. Seuss were a few favorites of mine as a child.  Now that I am 24, I tend to veer toward faith-based, inspiring type novels.  Based on my choice of reading, I would love to write a novel about my personal life experiences, finding comfort in my faith, in hopes of being a source of light for readers who may have gone through similar experiences.  For anyone who chooses to overcome adversity, with the desire to witness that with God anything is possible.

About the Author

Hailey Mae Crawford is the creator of alifeanchoredinhope blog.  She faced the loss of her loving dad at a young age that ultimately defined her ministry of serving others wholeheartedly because you never know when the good Lord will call them home, trusting in God through the hardship of loss.  Her desire to see others overcome adversity is the inspiration behind her faith, love for Jesus, and writing.  Besides writing she enjoys traveling, coffee shops, and thrift shopping.  She is continuously searching for ways to branch outside of her comfort zone to keep life new and her faith stronger.

Now it’s YOUR turn!  Comment below.  What would your “About the Author” say?  What novels would you recommend to dive into?  How do you overcome hardships placed in  your life?

P.S. A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO MY COUSIN AND HIS WIFE ON THEIR BEAUTIFUL BABY GIRL!  SHE IS SO PRECIOUS AND I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER FOR THEM! <3

  1. I love the idea of writing an About the Author blurb! There are always at least five half written novels in my Google Keep! I was so excited when they let you tag each 'note'- now all research/outlines/characters/chapters are right there! YES! :D

So excited to get to read more from you during #Blogtember!

    1. Oh Rachel, what would we do without our coffee-fixes?! Seriously though. I'm not sure if you are a fan of iced coffee or not but if you are...order the iced soy vanilla latte at Starbucks. AMAZING. :) I I just love how the blogger community brings people together who share so many interests. Looking forward to following along with you and your blog!

  3. Hi Hailey! Very cool format. I LOVE that you are taking a negative situation in your life and making it positive. It's hard to so sometimes, but so rewarding. Can't wait to hear more about your heart during this month!

    1. Hello Leah! Thank you so much for your support. It's certainly not easy sharing personal experiences and putting yourself in a vulnerable situation but I truly believe that is where God leads us, to grow stronger in our faith and overcome the challenges we face - big or small. I absolutely love your blog. I definitely think we would be friends in real life haha.
