So, we have reached the end of 2015...umm what? Am I the only one trying to wrap my head around this because didn't we just ring in the new year like yesterday? With 2016 coming just around the corner, of course the thoughts of "new years resolutions" come to mind. In the past I never really got into making resolutions. Sure, I would write a few things down but soon learned the items on that list needed a more valiant effort in order to achieve them such as lifestyle changes. That being said, I absolutely love the idea of making a lifestyle changes list to start RIGHT NOW versus "resolutions" to wait and start on the first of the year. Who's with me?

I have already started a few of these just recently and I can already see a huge difference in the way I live my daily life. It's truly incredible what can happen when you work on a significant lifestyle change and how much it can positively affect you and others around you.

I like to call it living with intention.

Here are the things I would like to focus on:

--Wake up earlier at a routine time
--Be more intentional with prayer
--Read a book before going to bed (instead of staying on my phone for an extra hour or so)
--Begin the day with a devotional
--Set and maintain a blogging schedule
--Wash make-up off before bed every night
--Make it a point to contact family/friends at lease once a day
--Work out at least three days per week
--Drink a glass of water every morning
--Eat three hearty healthy meals per day
--Journal every night before bed
--Take one short or long distance travel trip once a month to stay motivated

What are some lifestyle changes you would like to focus on? Keep in mind that this is not a resolution list but rather, it is your chance to perform little things throughout your day to live with more intention, realize what truly matters in life, and ultimately love the people around you with genuine kindness starting from within your own heart and in turn radiating to others.

--P.S. Today is my one year blog-iversary! Exactly one year ago I wrote my first post here. :) I have loved taking this journey and I'm excited to see where it goes in the coming new year!

Merry Christmas to all!!

  1. Happy blogiversary! Love the things you are focusing on, I used to follow a routine so much more intentionally than I do now. It's something I really need to bring back, especially when it comes to first thing in the morning and before bed.

    1. Thank you Donna! Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
