Woah, it's been a while! Lovely readers, life has been a bit hectic lately. I have had a strong desire to hop back on the consistency train and post what's on my heart. This little blog means so much to me as do those who choose to read it. :) So thank you!

To update my life since my last post in March - post Guatemala arrival...

I have joyously fulfilled a few life goals:

1) Become a big sis with Big Brothers Big Sisters
2) Rescue a puppy
3) Sponsor a child with Compassion International
4) Get into a dedicated fitness routine

Aside from those exciting ventures, I am loving my job and the people that come with it. Of course when I start to get "comfortable" with life, I feel the presence of the Holy Spirit in my heart telling me to start taking on new endeavors. What an adventurous God we serve! I love Him, even through the unknown adventures that lay ahead of each of us.

Today has been absolutely glorious. I love Saturdays in general because, hello, it's basically a free day to do whatever the heck ya wanna do! So far I have had a bit of a pamper morning, cuddled my pup (I love being a dog mom), visited the Fort Wayne Farmer's Market - hello Heaven! And currently I am at Fortezza, my absolute favorite coffee shop in town, writing this blog. It has been quite the combination of my favorite things today. Later, I am going to a mini pool party at my sister's house with the fam for my nephew's 9th birthday. (I will be providing mimosas for us grown ups). Heart eyes.

I should also mention it is in the mid 90's here in Fort Wayne with high humidity.

Considering I have not posted anything in a while, I wanted to revisit why I write this blog and where my heart is.

Let's begin here... Romans 5:1-5 ESV

Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
WE REJOICE IN HOPE OF THE GLORY OF GOD. Read it out loud, folks.

This is where I stand in my life. Anchored in hope. Each of us have our own battles we face every day, no matter the size of the battle and no matter how much it may tear us down, we have the power to choose HOPE in our hearts and anchor our lives in that.

I mentioned before that I have found myself taking part in a dedicated fitness routine. It includes running...for those of you who know me personally, you know that running has been my enemy for pretty much my entire life. It was never my first choice for exercising. Recently I have never felt more empowered and more alive than after a good run. ENDURANCE. Endurance has proven to be a continued life lesson. Endurance is applied physically, mentally, spiritually. As we fight our day to day battles, as we choose joy and hope rather than defeat, as we push through the fatigue and choose to sprint those last 30 seconds, we are building ourselves up with the armor of victory in the name of Jesus Christ.

Today I pray for the continued increase of endurance in each of your lives, all that it applies to. My prayer is that you find peace through the storms or battles and feel an overwhelming hope in your heart. We are so loved by an incredible God. I choose to rejoice in the sorrows + in the joys because I have hope in His promises.

The graces of God are boundless. A strong faith is insurmountable.

Happy Saturday, everyone. :)
