PRESS PLAY

Tuesday, Sept 6: Create a playlist. What you're listening to now, what encourages you, holiday favorites, etc.

My taste in music is extremely varied...I would never be able to pick just one favorite genre/band/artist because there are just so many amazing ones to choose from. The radio stations in my car are set in this order: Christian worship, country music, the best of 90's + now, 80's rock, popular contemporary hits, to more country and of course some hip hop. So, a lot of genres are covered in the mix of just a few radio stations which doesn't even include my own personal playlists that I enjoy jamming out to.

My mom and dad rooted my love for 80's rock and 90's country from the day I was born. However, I specifically remember many musical memories with my dad, especially singing karaoke at a local bar that one of his best friends owned. My dad was a lover of music and spontaneous dancing to say the least. One day after a Harley ride he had a pop/hip hop station playing on the motorcycle and when we got home the song "Lady Marmalade" by Christian Aguilera +more started playing and he proceeded to do a "twerking" move (LOL). I was slightly embarrassed, but find it absolutely hilarious now because that is totally something I would do to my future children. My mom also has some signature dance floor moves. I was blessed with fun/embarrassing parents haha.

I have recently gotten into Spotify and have four playlists created. Check them out!

What are some of your favorite songs and playlists? I need some more playlist ideas so please list them below! Also, do you have any embarrassing karaoke or dancing stories? I would love to read some!
