Is August seriously over already? This month I had a family reunion with some extended family and I was able to meet up with a couple of my best friends who live about three hours away from me. I had dinner with two of the most selfless people I know, my grandparents. So thankful for that time together. I also found out a great friend and her husband are expecting a little one in March. So exciting! Oh, and my blog got a makeover which I am absolutely loving.

I believe dreams are made reality with a combination of hard work, dedication and a passion for what you do ultimately for a greater purpose.

September is going to be full of new life adventures. Lord willing, I will begin my travel therapy job. Which means a new community of people, new surroundings, a new place to call home and a new work routine. Please keep me in your prayers as I prepare to take on this adventure. I truly feel that God is leading me to pursue this and while it is going to require a lot of getting used to and there will be tough days, I know that He is constant through it all. I pray that He does a bold work through me in all of these new areas of life.

Onto the favorites >>>>>>

Crimpy hair
This is the easiest hair style to achieve (and it’s so quick!) I french or dutch braid my hair into pigtails overnight and take the braids out in the morning. That simple. :)

Bamboo plant
This started as a wee little bamboo plant from Lowe’s well over a year ago and somehow I haven’t drowned it yet.

AP 24 Toothpaste
No, I am not a distributor but how could I not try it after seeing all of the amazing results! My teeth are super sensitive. I have used Crest White Strips for years and for the first few days after using them I feel like I have to keep my teeth hidden due to the sensitivity to air. This whitening toothpaste has made my teeth look naturally white and the best part, I can smile without worrying about the cold air hitting them.

Nike cropped leggings
These are my absolute favorite workout pants. I can't even begin to explain their comfort level for casual or active wear. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND.
My mom actually found mine from a garage sale. (We are big on thrifting.)
You can find them here.

Jesus Calling: Enjoying Peace in His Presence
I found mine on a whim at a bookstore called Black River Books in South Haven, MI. I was on the lake for the day and realized I forgot my book at home. I searched and searched for a good beach read and I happened to stumble across this devotional, one that I had been wanting to buy for a long time. It was as if I was meant to be there at that moment.

The Sound by The 1975. This has been a go-to for jamming out in the car for some feel-good music.
To check out my mix I listen to, check out my Spotify profile. I listen to anything + everything.

The Power of Forgiveness
Matthew 5:23-24
Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.

Chicken + Spinach Pasta Bake
Check out the recipe here!

What are some of your favorites from this month? I would love to check them out!
