BOLD CUP OF COFFEE

I was listening to a sermon recently that talked about pursuing your faith and living life with a bold fearless pursuit. The pastor compared it to drinking a bold cup of coffee. If you are a coffee lover like me, the last thing you want is a weak cup of coffee. You don't brew those grounds just for a mediocre taste and say "oh well that will do." I always brew my coffee for a purpose, whether that be for the caffeine for energy to tackle the day or a cup of decaf to wind down from the day or maybe because it just plain sounds good. That being said, sometimes we may brew a terrible cup of coffee, yet we must still tackle what the day brings.

Look at your relationship with God in the same way. You are His disciple, You are on this earth to be His hands and feet, He gave you this one particular life, what do you plan to do with it? How do you use your joys and tragedies to live boldly and encourage others?

Just like those bold cups of coffee that have a purpose, YOU have a purpose with this life. God is so amazing that He gave every single one of us a gift that we can use to give back to the world to spread His light. I encourage you to boldly go out into the world or into your community and discover your gift, use it to serve someone around you. Your bold, fearless faith will radiate from the inside out and I promise you, people will see that, they will feel the Holy Spirit dwelling in their heart.

Just as there will be an occasional bad brew of imperfection, God is not calling you to a standard of perfection or to have a "perfect faith." We will never achieve that. Instead He wants us to continue striving to be a better person with real faith with a bold pursuit, even when we have setbacks. Have endurance to keep going.

Romans 5:1-5 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through Him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

Maybe you can even meet up with someone for bold cups of coffee and boldly talk about how God has been working in your life. A double shot of boldness. :)

Ephesians 3:11-12 This was His eternal plan, which He carried out through Christ Jesus our Lord. Because of Christ and our faith in Him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God's presence.

Ask Jesus to do a bold work through you.
Continue on the path that God is calling you to.
Fearlessly trust that even though there will be hard times, He is with you always.

Let's start living life and pursuing faith with a fearless heart.
