I love reading about God moments in peoples’ lives. It’s always amazing to hear the many significant ways God is working. I decided to make today’s blog post about three things God is currently teaching me.

I would love to hear what God is teaching you lately!

This applies to so many aspects of my life right now. I have moved past looking at “waiting” in a negative way (which took a long time to accept) and I am now starting to embrace each season of waiting. That’s not to say I don’t have days where I struggle with maintaining my patience especially when I so strongly desire the next chapter. However, I know fully well that God is shaping me and preparing me for each and every one of my heart’s desires in more abundant ways than I could even imagine.

Matthew 7:8 For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks first finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.

He is teaching me that I am to be still and know that He hears my prayers and knows my heart.

He is teaching me that His timing is best.

He is teaching me that He will provide just what I need in this present moment.

Trust that I am right where God wants me to be. It may not be where I would like to be or where I thought I would be. Is that what really matters though? No. Each joy I experience and each struggle I face He is there as my Helper and Encourager. Perhaps the season I don’t want to go through is just another part of His grand plan and maybe I am here in this moment to learn something valuable and encourage those I meet along the way.

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.

He is teaching me that He has plans better than I could ever dream of.

He is teaching me to keep faith and hold fast in the unknown.

He is teaching me how to truly rely on Him.

Fearless Pursuit is my mantra for 2017. I want to fearlessly pursue what God lays on my heart, to go after the adventures that may be intimidating or scary, to know that it’s okay if my plans are not fulfilled because God has something even greater in store. I learned at a very young age how short life really can be. With my dad passing away very unexpectedly at thirty four years old, I was sort of thrown into realizing how precious life is and how fearlessly it should be lived. I am eternally grateful that my dad lived his life so abundantly and I was able to witness that even for a short time. My dad was amazing and spread so much light to those around him, what a gift it was to see him live that out first hand.

1 Corinthians 16:13-14 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love.

He is teaching me about the importance of living an abundant life.

He is teaching me how precious life is.

He is teaching me that I must pursue what’s laid on my heart.
